I have to say, my new obsession has become bone conduction headphones, or similarly, finding new ways to jam out without actually having buds in my ear. I think in all actuality, I am just another typical audiophile. With that said, you can imagine how excited I was to discover Bose's new sunglasses that double as headphones. That's right, you read that correctly, Bose has made a beautiful line of sunglasses that double as speakers.

The Design
Bose Frames feature 2 different designs that are sure to appease both men and women. The two designs, the Bose Frames Alto and Bose Frames Rando, are both lightweight and made of a strong plastic. The Bose Frames Alto feature a classic angular shape, commanding lenses with a larger fit and immersive sound. Lens Width: 52 mm | Bridge Width: 18 mm | Temple Length: 162 mm. The Bose Frames Rando also feature a gorgeous design with a compact fit, and similarly dark and commanding lenses. These two designs allow you to choose from either timeless style. Both are enriched with premium accents and materials, like gold-plated hinges. Alto offers a classic angular look with larger fit, while Rondo is more distinct with rounded lenses and a smaller fit.
Patented Acoustic Chambers and Ports, Not Bone Conduction
At the start of this feature, I mentioned how in love I am with the new bone conduction technology that has begun to flood the market. However, the real reason I love it is that I truly adore the idea of open-ear headphones. Bose Frames masters this open-ear audio market without utilizing bone conduction technology. Instead, Bose Frames use a custom-designed speaker in conjunction with a series of patented acoustic chambers and ports to steer audio into the listener’s ears from the temples of the glasses. This new technology results in unbelievable audio clarity and spaciousness that seems almost impossible given the product’s size. The product truly revolutionizes the audio market and features an all-new way to listen and stay connected to the outside world. What’s really mind-blowing is how full and rich the audio can sound for the wearer, but how little of that can be heard by anyone else, even if they’re standing next to the wearer.
Sight and Sound
Bose Frames with patented acoustic chambers and premium lenses are designed for sun and sound. Similar to other open-ear headphones, Bose Frames are made to ensure you can listen to your tunes while still being aware of the outside world. Whether you are an athlete, a jogger, or just another audio lover like myself, you can wear Bose Frames and not be totally isolated. Better yet, the amazing design of these frames means the audio is yours and yours alone. What do I mean? The frames feature technology that prevents sound from being heard by people nearby. In testing them out, I had others stand right next to me as I blasted my tunes and most barely heard a peep.
